A true Texan at heart, Dr. Gossett hails from Houston, where he completed his undergraduate studies before venturing to North Texas for medical school.

Before finding his calling in medicine, Dr. Gossett explored various paths, from officiating soccer matches to capturing special moments as a wedding photographer. He even tried his hand at dairy farming and teaching before realizing his passion lay in healthcare.

Driven by a deep-seated curiosity about the intricacies of the human brain, Dr. Gossett pursued neurology, inspired by the advice to immerse oneself in a field of endless learning. His journey into pediatric neurology was a natural progression, fueled by his love for working with children and their families, stemming from his previous experience as an educator.

Specializing in epilepsy, Dr. Gossett is intrigued in understanding seizures as a manifestation of brain function. He recognizes the immense challenges families face during such times and is committed to providing compassionate care and support to ease their burden.

Dr. Gossett’s dedication extends beyond patient care; he played a pivotal role in establishing the Epilepsy Center at Children’s Health Plano and served as its inaugural Medical Director. Additionally, he spearheaded the development of specialized clinics, including one dedicated to treating children with CLN2 (Batten’s Disease), showcasing his commitment to advancing pediatric neurological care.

Outside the office, Dr. Gossett cherishes spending quality time with his cherished family – his incredible wife, two lovely daughters, and two beloved rescue dogs. An avid reader and fitness enthusiast, he also enjoys delving into the realms of chess and martial arts, holding a black belt in Judo and boasting over 20 years of experience in submission wrestling.

Having traversed more than 25 countries across five continents, Dr. Gossett’s worldly experiences enrich his perspective and fuel his passion for exploration. Now firmly rooted in Allen, Texas, Dr. Gossett looks forward to embarking on new endeavors at Neurology Consultants of Dallas, bringing his expertise in child neurology and pediatric epilepsy to serve the local community with unwavering dedication and compassion.
