The complicated diagnosis of a patient with neurological symptoms challenges Dr. Hinton, which is why he chose Neurology in the beginning. Richard Hinton has been a pioneer in the DFW area, setting up the stroke program within Texas Presbyterian Dallas. Throughout the years, he has led the Dallas area in creating the Dallas Area Stroke Council, sat on boards and committees encouraging more education and resources for stroke patients and was Chief of Neurology at Presbyterian Dallas Hospital.
When he isn’t at the NCD offices, Dr. Hinton is watching sports, playing the piano, or participating in activities with his church. Dr. Hinton and his wife love traveling and cheering on their daughter who performs in musical theater.
