Macym Rizvi, MD

Neurohospitalist, Epilepsy/Seizures

After majoring in neuroscience in college, Dr. Macym Risvi was constantly drawn towards patients with diverse neurological conditions upon entering medical school.

He was motivated to learn the intricacies of the vast conditions in the field with the goal of providing the highest care for patients with neurological conditions.

During his years in training, he authored and published papers, handbooks, and chapters in textbooks on a wide range of neurological conditions including stroke, movement disorders, eye movement disorders, paraneoplastic conditions, and epilepsy. This led to opportunities to give lectures and presentations on various topics in the US as well as internationally.

In addition to his training in intraoperative monitoring, he developed the skill to interpret EEGs and clinically assess patients with complex seizure disorders including those requiring epilepsy surgery.

When outside of the hospital, Dr. Rizvi enjoys watching and playing basketball (Go Mavs!), working out, trying new places to restaurants, spending time with family, and exploring different countries.
