Alejandro Magadán, MD

Neurohospitalist

Dr. Gupta has become a valuable resource for information pertaining to epilepsy given his professional and personal experience with the condition.

Dr Magadán graduated college with a degree in biological sciences and a minor in physics. He followed an interest in the integration of neuro-imaging and clinical finding of neurology and in particular stroke and cerebrovascular disorders. 

Prior to joining Neurology Consultants of Dallas, Dr Magadán was faculty at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and served as the Medical Director for Stroke from 2015 to 2019 at Parkland Health and Human Services.  He has involved in Neuroimaging and stroke lectures series for the neurology residents at UTSW and also the stroke symposium of UTSW and Parkland and started a Neuroscience lecture series for the Nurses at Parkland. 

When outside of the hospital, Dr Magadán enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, swimming, scuba diving, playing soccer and aquaculture and propagation of coral. He has a budding interest in photography.
