Suzanne started her medical career as a Physician Assistant in 1990, practicing in a variety of fields including Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Emergency Medicine before finding her home in Neurology in 2009. Prior to joining NCD, she spent over 11 years in a Neurology private practice treating general neurology patients, specializing in the management of epilepsy patients. Her multi-disciplinary background has been a gift, informing her ability to care for patients with complex medical conditions.
Suzanne feels her best tool for delivering care is her ability to listen carefully to the patient, not only to understand and inform her diagnostic decision making, but to fully consider the patient’s physical and emotional needs in her approach. She understands the profound impact a neurological diagnosis has on a patient and their family and is aware that a good understanding of treatment options allows one to take an active role in their own plan of care. She is dedicated to patient education and strives to be an advocate by providing excellent communication and support as patients navigate the health care system.
The proud mother of four adult children, Suzanne loves spending time with her family. She enjoys gardening, photography, is an avid reader, a writer, a lover of the arts and dabbles in filmmaking.
